Brand new empty Australian Native Bee Hive which can be used to split your existing hive, educt (bud) from another hive, or relocate a bee nest into.
Features of this hive are:
Hand-made with sustainable 25mm Hoop pine
Standard OATH design - total dimensions are 295mm high, 200mm wide, and 280mm long
Screwed and glued - 36 screws in total
Screws have been countersunk and filled for a smooth finish
Top honey super
Perspex separator between hive and honey super
Perspex anti-slump bars
Galvanised screws for longevity
1 coat of primer/undercoat and 2 coats of top coat
Finished in pale yellow but can be painted white, cream or just undercoat with some prior notice - just advise when you order
FREE optional landing board and/or feet - just select these when you order.
Strapping also included to keep hive together after split.
I can build custom hives to your dimensions including observation tops, hinged lids etc. Just let me know what you want and I can quote. Timber will be 25mm hoop pine or 25mm ply depending on design.
